On Monday, December 19th, 601 Studios, Music & Arts Academy staff made their way to Brinkley Middle School in Jackson with a special mission in mind: to bring the gift of music to three deserving students through their "Give a Guitar for Christmas" project.

601 Studios has been working closely with the school and their music teacher Mr. Leonard Martin to identify three students who showed a passion and talent for music, and who would greatly benefit from learning how to play the guitar.
601 Studios presented each student with a brand new guitar, along with a case and necessary accessories. The students' faces lit up with joy as they received their gifts, and they couldn't wait to start learning how to play.
In addition to the guitars, 601 Studios is also gifting each student with a series of lessons to help them get started on their musical journey. The academy's team of experienced instructors will work closely with the students to teach them the fundamentals of guitar playing, including how to properly hold and strum the instrument, as well as basic chords and melodies. 601 Studios is very excited to see the impact music will have on the lives of these Brinkley Middle School students.
The "Give a Guitar for Christmas" project was a resounding success, and 601 Studios, Music & Arts Academy would like to thank the numerous families and students who contributed to this cause. A special thanks goes to Community Bank for their generous donation to the Give A Guitar For Christmas project.
Brinkley Middle School is one of two schools whose students will receive guitars from Give A Guitar For Christmas. The second school to receive guitars for their students will be recognized in a post later this week.
